All Neo applications share some common features. These include:

Template Designer

The applications use user-defined templates to produce the various products. A built in template designer is provided for creating the page layouts and other elements applicable to each application.

Graphically rich, 'smart' and powerful templates are possible:

• static and replaceable (variable) text
• barcodes
• bitmap and vector graphics and labelled 'holes'
• 8-bit transparency masking and feathering

Cut Marks

Cut marks define where a page will be split and sent to the printer as separate sections. Any number can be defined per page.

Cut marks have various uses such as:

• splitting a long pack into smaller manageable units (as required, for example, by the Gretag/Sienna Miléca in order to print quickly)
• splitting a page into units ready for packing or mounting
• printing reordering information with any product

Ease & Versatility

User-definable database per job, with any number of fields, name of field and type of field (including graphic type) - with a set of fields per subject, folder and the entire job. Data from any of these field, text or graphic, can appear in the appropriately labelled spot on a template.

The data is shared amongst the applications - correct at one spot and the changes are reflected in all products.
